Nocturnal Kingdom

by The Southern Oracle

/
1.
Executioner 03:26
Unresting death lurks around Above our heads the darkest of clouds Blackening the sky Global warming, cold blood Feed the poor to the sun Feel the taste of hunger for every breath of life Unresting death lurks around Above our heads no light, all dark We’re abandoned by the stars Knee deep in gasoline with our heads in guillotines The world’s on fire and we keep it burning Burn it to the ground Burn it to the ground Do not seek salvation anymore As we do not forgive those who trespass against us “I am the judge, jury and executioner” We do not forgive those who trespass against us “I am the judge, jury and executioner”

Bodysnatcher 02:50
There’s an army of bodies I could feel the dead Their muffled screams rumble in the back of my head Higher than heaven, lower than hell These demons are real and they’re everywhere Nocturnal kingdom, Lying snakes in the grass Corpses waiting to be resurrected Messiahs promise, all the pain will be taken away There’s an army of bodies I could feel the rage Their coffins’ cleaned, robbed even beyond the grave Lower than hell, higher than heaven Doomsday is nigh, our hearts will be deadened Nocturnal kingdom, Thieving crows gathering up in the sky Nocturnal kingdom Lying snakes in the grass Nocturnal kingdom Thieving crows up in the sky

about

The last two albums we released were mostly written at home because of the pandemic and we found it very useful to remotely work together but with these songs we just sketched up a couple of riffs and we went to the rehearsal room to feel the live energy. Our new single “Nocturnal Kingdom” with it’s A & B side tracks go even deeper to the old school metal roots than everything we’ve ever done; more to the point and though they might feel simpler but we worked hard on all the smallest details to be precise.
